Set up Jobcakes

How do I sign up?

1. Open the Jobcakes signup page and enter your name, email, and password.
2. Enter the one-time verification code sent to your email.
3. After verification, continue to first-profile setup.

Note: A user account is not created until the email verification step succeeds.

Why did my verification code fail?

1. Confirm that you are using the newest code sent for the signup attempt.
2. Check whether the ten-minute expiration window has passed.
3. Request another code after the resend timer finishes.
4. Restart signup if the maximum verification attempts or resend limit has been reached.

Should I connect Jobright or upload a resume?

1. Connect Jobright when you want to import an existing profile and its connected job feed.
2. Upload a resume when you want Jobcakes to build a profile from your current experience.
3. Review the imported or parsed profile before using it for applications and generated documents.

What happens after a resume upload?

1. Jobcakes extracts structured profile details from the resume.
2. The original file is stored as the uploaded resume for that profile.
3. Jobcakes finds a similar connected job source and prepares a private matched feed.
4. The source profile identity and private workspace data are never shown.

What should I do first?

1. Open Jobs and review the feed for the selected profile.
2. Save one useful role and hide one poor fit.
3. Open a job drawer to inspect details and available actions.
4. Mark an existing application or start preparing for a new one.
5. Use Applications to keep the submitted role moving.

How do guided tours and the guide work together?

1. Use in-app tours for short, interactive click paths.
2. Use this reference guide for complete workflows, behavior explanations, and troubleshooting.
3. Dismissed tours remain resumable through onboarding state.
