What does a profile control?

  1. A profile holds the resume and experience context used for matching and generation.
  2. It can have its own Jobright and Gmail connections.
  3. It determines profile jobs, job-market visibility, interview facts, phone activity, and appearance.
  4. The global header selector changes the active profile across the workspace.

When should I create another profile?

  1. Create one when pursuing meaningfully different roles, industries, or resume narratives.
  2. Do not create a profile merely to organize individual jobs.
  3. Check plan limits before adding profiles. Locked profiles remain preserved but cannot be used.

Resume and appearance

How do I update the profile resume?

  1. Open Profiles and select the profile.
  2. Upload the current resume file.
  3. Open resume layout and preferences to review presentation and tailoring settings.
  4. Preview the result before generating documents for a real application.

How does profile appearance work?

  1. Open the profile appearance settings.
  2. Choose the profile primary color.
  3. Choose light or dark mode for that profile.
  4. Switch profiles from the global header to apply the saved appearance.

Connections and context

How do I refresh a Jobright profile?

  1. Open the relevant profile.
  2. Confirm that Jobright is still connected.
  3. Choose the resync or refresh action.
  4. Allow the import to complete before reviewing changed profile data or jobs.

What are interview facts?

  1. Interview facts are reusable, verified details Interview GPT can reference.
  2. Add projects, achievements, leadership examples, technical experience, or education facts.
  3. Keep each fact concise, accurate, and useful across multiple interview questions.

How do I change the profile job market?

  1. Open the profile job-market settings.
  2. Choose the relevant location, role market, or visibility options.
  3. Save the settings and return to Jobs.
  4. Use the source filters to distinguish profile and broader market opportunities.

Common questions

Why can I see a job but not generate a document?

Check the selected profile, profile lock state, plan entitlement, remaining credits, resume availability, and job-description content.

Why is Gmail missing or paused?

Gmail belongs to a specific profile and requires an entitled plan. Confirm the active profile, billing state, and connection status.

Why are no interviews shown?

An applied or rejected job is not automatically an interview. A confirmed interview-stage event must exist first.

Why did a profile become locked?

The current plan may allow fewer active profiles. Locked profiles remain visible and preserved but cannot perform profile-scoped actions.

Can I correct a wrong email link or stage?

Yes. Open the message or application, correct the relationship or stage, and review the resulting timeline.

Does Jobcakes submit applications automatically?

Jobcakes supports discovery, preparation, document generation, answers, and tracking. Always confirm the final external submission state.
