Generate documents

How do I generate a tailored resume?

  1. Select the correct profile.
  2. Confirm that its resume and the job description are current.
  3. Open the job or application and choose the tailored-resume action.
  4. Review the generated result before downloading or submitting it.

How do I create a cover letter?

  1. Open the relevant job or application.
  2. Choose Generate Cover Letter.
  3. Review claims, company references, tone, and role details.
  4. Edit the result before using it outside Jobcakes.

Screening questions

How do screening answers work?

  1. Open the relevant job.
  2. Enter the screening question exactly as it appears.
  3. Generate an answer using the selected profile, resume, and job context.
  4. Verify factual claims and adjust tone or length before submission.

Credits and failures

What consumes a Free credit?

  1. A successful resume or cover-letter result uses one combined document credit.
  2. A successful screening answer uses one screening credit.
  3. Credits are reserved while asynchronous work runs.
  4. A processing failure releases the reserved credit.
  5. Viewing or downloading an existing output does not consume another credit.

Why is generation unavailable?

  1. Confirm the selected profile is active and unlocked.
  2. Check that the profile has a usable resume.
  3. Confirm the job has enough description content.
  4. Review plan entitlements and remaining credits.

Common questions

Why can I see a job but not generate a document?

Check the selected profile, profile lock state, plan entitlement, remaining credits, resume availability, and job-description content.

Why is Gmail missing or paused?

Gmail belongs to a specific profile and requires an entitled plan. Confirm the active profile, billing state, and connection status.

Why are no interviews shown?

An applied or rejected job is not automatically an interview. A confirmed interview-stage event must exist first.

Why did a profile become locked?

The current plan may allow fewer active profiles. Locked profiles remain visible and preserved but cannot perform profile-scoped actions.

Can I correct a wrong email link or stage?

Yes. Open the message or application, correct the relationship or stage, and review the resulting timeline.

Does Jobcakes submit applications automatically?

Jobcakes supports discovery, preparation, document generation, answers, and tracking. Always confirm the final external submission state.
